Daily Paintings

Today I will begin a “30 days of painting” experiment, project, routine etc etc.

This basically means I will be painting one painting every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until I have 30 paintings. These works will be “sketch based”, on watercolor paper and not on canvas. The intentions will be to take ideas discovered or otherwise correctly executed and use them in larger or more official serious works.

This is not my original idea but it is a great one, fellow artist colleagues Gary Reef and Maria Wiley really pioneered and perfected this idea, at least in my eyes. The idea of this is to keep me focused, to keep me sharp, and to keep me searching for new inspirations and motivations to paint.

I look forward to the journey ahead with this new project, I encourage all artists to try it!

Now to go start painting 1!
